Leadership

Our Executive Board consists of elected officers, standing committee chairs, council delegates, teacher representative(s), and the principal or their representative. All board members serve as volunteers, and are busy parents just like you! We're always looking for more help, even on an informal, occasional basis.

Officer positions are defined by organizational bylaws, and are elected by the general membership on an annual basis.

Standing committees are those that perform a continuing function and serve all year. Such standing committees may be created by the board to promote and carry out the Purposes and the work of the PTA. The standing committees of this local PTA are: Bylaws, Programs, Membership, Hospitality, Attendance Incentives, Fundraising, Reflections, Spirit wear, and Class Parties. The chairpersons of committees are be selected by the officers of the association and serve for a term of one year.

Collaboration and partnership with John W. Luff Elementary School is critical to the success of our mission. We are very pleased to have school representatives as members of our board.

Special committees are created for a special purpose and automatically cease to exist when their work is done. The board may create such special committees as it may deem necessary.
